This is an intensive 3 day course and Case studies are to be submitted 2 weeks after the weekend course before receiving Certification- Case Studies - 2 Clients 3 Times.

Indian Head Massage is one of the most relaxing and versatile forms of massage.

The massage covers upper back, neck, shoulders, head and face and ends with energy healing.

The massage can be carried out with the recipient dressed or undressed, in a seated, reclining or lying position.

The use of oils is optional. Participants will learn:

History and benefits of Indian Head Massage.
Indian Head Massage techniques for upper back, neck and shoulders, head and face.
Variations of techniques for recipients in sitting, lying and reclining positions.
Cautions and contra-indications for Indian Head Massage and essential oils.

This course is suitable for complete beginners, for anyone considering a diploma course in Massage, or for qualified therapists who wish to expand their skills.

Printed handouts will be provided. Certificates will be awarded on successful completion of the course. Participants must demonstrate an understanding of the subject and the ability to perform an Indian Head Massage.

ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage and Anatomy & Physiology

Tuesday evenings (7-9:30pm) and one or two Saturday afternoons (1-6pm) per month between October and April.

 Classes include:-

• Full Body Holistic Massage Practical classes
• Anatomy & Physiology including all the systems of the body.
• Massage Theory
• Business Awareness and Professional Conduct

The focus of the course is on providing you with a highly professional and comprehensive training. Class sizes are kept small to ensure individual attention. You will gain all of the necessary practical and theoretical skills to allow you to confidently embark on a Holistic Massage practice as a highly professional therapist.

 Our previous students have received excellent results as our Lectures are highly trained and experienced.

Course content includes the following:

Anatomy & Physiology

The Cell & Tissues, The Skin, Skeleton System, Muscular System, Circulatory & Lymphatic System, Nervous System, Endocrine System, Respiratory System, Digestion System, Urinary System, Reproduction System

 Massage Practical & Theory

Practical: Covering all Practical techniques of Holistic Massage incorporating the classical movements of effleurage, petrissage, tapotment, friction and vibration which enables the therapist to provide full body, face, scalp hand & foot massage.

Theory: History of Massage, Effects & Benefits, Consultation & Treatment, Common ailments and contraindications, other Therapies. Towel Draping, Client Care, After Care Advice, Posture & Balance

 Professional Conduct / Business Awareness

This course covers all aspects of Professionalism, Ethics, Health & Safety Legislation, Hygiene, First Aid, Running a Business, Marketing & Promotion.

Students will need:

 Towels: 2 black bath sheets and two hand towels

Dress code for class: Black comfortable top & trousers

 90% attendance is required on the course to sit exams. Deposits and course fees are strictly non refundable and non transferable. Dates may be subject to minor changes subject to student needs.

 Three individual ITEC Diplomas will be awarded on completion:

ITEC Diploma in Professional conduct & business awareness

ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage
