We are delighted to present this 6 week course 'Replenish - Acting on Mental Health' with Caroline McMenamin beginning August 29th.
By exploring your 'true self' and understanding how and why you think a certain way, you'll be able to develop an insight to how you can better manage your mental health, develop your own self-care plan and live a healthier, holistic lifestyle.”
"Replenish is original due to it being developed in format of sessions that educate participants in how certain mental health issues affect the mind and body, and vice versa. Through providing education and intervention from different professionals in various fields of care, such as nutritionists, complementary therapists, holistic therapists, to name but a few, we enable individuals to create and personalise their own management of their mental health with the aim of producing a sequence of therapeutic, holistic change.”
The course begins with..
Week 1: 'The Sand in Your Shoe'- This is designed to encourage us to see what are our obstacles, to identify what's stopping us from being our ideal self.
Week 2: 'Barefoot': This is focused around the metaphor of taking off the shoe that holds the burden of sand that's weighing you down and having the courage to be vulnerable and your most 'Authentic Self’. (
Week 3: 'Sandstorm': Like a sandstorm, anxiety can be all consuming, and so this session brings attention to understand the difference between fear and anxiety and helps us to understand and normalise the reasons for panic as well as helping us identify unhelpful thinking styles.
Week 4:'The Depths of You':This is an immensely interesting session as it encourages us to look at the Core Beliefs that we've developed and that ultimately influence how we think, feel and behave. Bringing awareness to our core beliefs give insight that can change our lives.
Week 5: 'Making Waves': Like one of our taglines, 'making waves' looks at how we can use our experience to make waves and change the culture of mental health by empowering you to see that you're an expert by experience and that your struggle could be a page in somebody's survival guide.
Week 6: 'That’s a WRAP' (Wellness Recovery Action Planning): ‘WRAP’is a document designed to be your ‘go to’ when you’re going through a difficult time. It’s a document that lists your triggers, your choice of treatments, financial management, and important aspects that someone close to you can refer to help you.
During these sessions you will also have sessions with various professionals in the healthcare field.
Replenish also has Tribes (support groups) throughout Ireland and have a strong online presence where people can maintain connections with people who are part of Replenish.
