About the Event

'Cultivating Healthy Stress' is a research based Positive Psychology, Neuroscience and Mindfulness approach to identifying and managing stress levels and building resources.  

In this fun, informative course, we will explore how the stress response works and how to bring awareness of early tell-tale signs to prevent burnout and harness the power of a healthy relationship with stress. You will take away simple yet proven tips that can be tangibly put into practice immediately. 

Learn how to differentiate good stress VS. bad stress & the benefits of healthy stress​ including; 

 Improved focus 

Increased motivation to reach goals 

Create new nerve cells and pathways in the brain 

Boosted immunity 

Increased resilience 

Improved memory  

You will receive 'First Aid' tips for managing day to day stress levels as well as combining proven ways to identify and build a wellness bank of ongoing resources to manage chronic stress. Julie Coogan, founder of Tree of Life combines her skill set and extensive clinical experience and research to deliver key ways to develop sustainable ways to achieve a stress “Tool Kit” that is accessible to everyone. 

This 3 hour event will involve a mixture of talk and gentle movement, incorporating a guided simple breath awareness and meditation practice. The movement section will be light therefore a change of clothes is not required.
